Job Title: General Council for a Real Estate Investment and Commercial Leasing Firm (Florida Bar Required)

Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced General Council for a Real Estate Investment and Commercial Leasing Firm to oversee and manage all aspects of commercial leasing operations.
This role requires expertise in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing commercial leases, as well as managing relationships with tenants.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate law and a proven ability to handle the legal complexities of commercial leasing and tenant relations with strong negotiating skills. MUST have a Florida bar MUST come into the office Monday - Friday Key Responsibilities: -Draft, review, and negotiate commercial lease agreements, amendments, and other legal documents in compliance with local and state regulations.
-Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, handling inquiries, lease renewals, and disputes.
-Ensure leases are structured to maximize tenant retention and maintain positive tenant relationships.
-Provide legal advice and counsel to the property management team regarding leasing, tenant issues, and property laws.
-Monitor lease compliance and enforce lease terms when necessary.
-Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate rent collection and other lease-related financials.
-Stay up to date on commercial real estate trends and Florida real estate law to guide decision-making.
-Assist in the acquisition and disposition of properties as required.
-Handle tenant-related disputes, including lease violations, non-payment issues, and other legal matters.
-Prepare lease summaries, reports, and other documentation for senior management as required.
Qualifications: -Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
-Active member in good standing of the Florida Bar.
-Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial leasing, real estate law, or related fields.
-Strong knowledge of Florida real estate laws, especially those related to commercial leasing.
-Proven experience drafting, negotiating, and enforcing commercial leases.
-Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to manage multiple tenants and handle various issues that arise in a commercial property setting.
-Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
-Proficiency in relevant legal and leasing software is a plus.
