Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our team asa Commercial Loan Servicing Portfolio Manager!
About the role
This role is responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of a segment of the organization's real estate loan portfolio. Responsibilities include collaborating and maintaining relationships with mortgage bankers, borrowers and attorneys. Prepare and complete analysis and recommendations for loan events in accordance with the terms of the loan and outside the terms of the loan, this may include assumptions, modifications, collateral replacement, guarantor replacement and others. This is a remote role with required travel to the Bellevue office for in-person events a few times per year.
What you will do
Research and assess risk.
Collect data and analyze for loan events.
Analysis may include property operating statements, rent rolls, inspections, tax returns, personal financial statements, credit and background reports, appraisals, sale contract, title reports, liquidity statements to determine net worth, liquidity, valuation, DSC, etc. Loan events may include lease reviews, assumptions, modifications, collateral replacement, guarantor replacement, partial releases, condemnations, and non-compliant insurance coverage.
Prepare and complete written analysis and present to AVP Loan Administration and Senior VP.
Analysis will include property economics, valuation, comparative vs. market trend, tax analysis, etc.
Collaborate with management in making recommendations.
Perform closing functions for loan events in collaboration with outside legal counsel and senior portfolio managers/AVP loan administration.
Working comprehension and review of commercial loan documents, entity vesting documents, title reports; select, prepare and complete documents including NDA's, loan modification agreement, assumption agreement, escrow agreement, guaranty, lender instructions, etc.
Independently interact with internal and external clients.
External clients includes mortgage bankers, borrowers, legal counsel, escrow and title companies; may attend MBA national conference.
Direct communication with mortgage banker for problem solving, real estate tax delinquency, mortgage payment delinquency, non-compliant insurance coverage, mortgage banker performance, etc.
Assist less experienced staff with boarding and boarding review.
Lead and participate in special projects assigned by Manager or Department Manager

Compensation
Salary Range: $68,500 – $114,100 plus eligibility for annual bonus programs
Who you are
2 year or 4 year college degree Preferred.
3+ years loan industry experience preferred.
Experience as Loan Servicer or analyst in related industry.
Proficient Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and CRM skills.
Strong organizational, analytical and writing skills. Possess problem solving skills and abilities.
Comprehend information and gather needed documentation and identify pertinent issues and risk.
Write clear and effective reports.
Skills and knowledge for the role, ability to analyze historical and current operating statements and create proforma NOI valuation, ability to evaluate personal financial statements, credit and background reports, rent rolls and inspections; ability to identify key provisions and risks in commercial loan documents and leases.
Familiarity with title reports, appraisals, insurance.
High school diploma required.
This is a remote role with required travel to the Bellevue office for in-person events a few times per year.
