The Commercial Sales Manager is responsible for the planning and tactical execution required to meet and exceed sales objectives regarding data, voice, and video services for Shentel Communications. Reporting to the Enterprise Sales Director, the Commercial Sales Manager is a high-performance sales team leader who builds, coaches and inspires a team in our growth regions while building internal and external relationships and strategies to reach the team's sales performance goals.
Duties & Responsibilities
Manages a team of Account Managers and/or Account Executives to meet and exceed commercial sales objectives for SMB and Enterprise customers.
Provides accurate weekly, monthly and quarterly sales forecasts.
Implements and improves processes to effectively manage and support sales objectives from opportunity creation through revenue generation.
Trains team in solutions selling methodology.
Meets and exceeds sales objectives for Fiber and Coaxial based services.
Works in the field multiple days per week with sales team to close new business
Works closely with supporting corporate functions such as Engineering, Marketing, Finance and Operations.
Recruits and develops professional sales team members promptly.
Works with various corporate functions for improvement/enhancement of Glo Fiber Business brand at relevant regional trade shows, sponsorships and events.
Qualifications & Skills
BS/BA in business, marketing, or related field preferred. Equivalent industry experience will be considered.
Five or more years of proven sales experience with complex telecommunication and network services.
Two or more years of experience managing sales teams preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
Strong business and interpersonal communication skills.
Knowledge of Salesforce.com.
