You can learn more about Nichols Fleet Equipment at Role Description NFE has a full-time, on-site role for an experienced Commodity Buyer & Quote Builder at our Chattanooga, TN headquarters. The role involves: Quote building to support Sales team — working with Sales to source up to date pricing for components required for building accurate quotes and getting them to customers as quickly as possible. Researching and analyzing industry trends, cost drivers, and supplier capabilities. Sourcing/finding new suppliers and commodities/services Negotiating contracts and/or pricing with suppliers Evaluating suppliers and comparing them to find the most cost effective and reliable products Developing and implementing sourcing strategies Qualifications Supplier Evaluation, Supplier Management, Purchasing, and Procurement skills Supply Chain Management expertise Strong analytical and negotiation skills Attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively and independently Experience in the automotive and/or truck equipment related industry is a plus Computer skills — Microsoft suite, SmartSheets, ERP
