Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage the buying and selling activities for assigned commodities Determine supply and demand, survey market conditions, and analyze other economic forces in order to establish position in the marketInitiate, negotiate and agree on terms of commodity purchase/sale contracts, such as price, quality, quantity, transportation, timing and paymentArrange efficient transportation of commoditiesEnsure thorough and accurate follow-up, execution, and closure to all contracts Maintain regular customer communication to build and grow customer relationshipsCommodity Merchant Qualifications: Intermediate knowledge and experience in own discipline; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.Solves a range of straightforward problems Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction2-5 years' relevant experience requiredApplicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
