Our client, a non-profit focused on supporting higher education nursing programs, has an immediate opening to support their Communications department.
Requirements and preferred qualifications:
The organization promotes higher education; therefore, a Baccalaureate degree is preferred. Equivalent training and work experience may be substituted. 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in an association. Experience updating, editing, and maintaining web pages and sites required; experience testing content and website accessibility, and using design software is highly desirable. Must be highly organized, detail oriented, flexible, and collaborative, and have good interpersonal skills. Excellent ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Familiarity with standard office equipment and practices including use of computers, email etiquette, phones, photocopiers, filing and organizing. Website Updates:
Performs a high volume of web edits while ensuring website is ADA compliant. Works with communications team and other departments with building and improving web content for various initiatives. Oversees online Career Center, including handling all inquiries regarding advertising, preparing monthly email to members; and coordinating all promotions. Publications, Exhibits, and Conference Events
Maintains inventory of publications, including brochures, flyers, and reports, and assists with updating publications as needed. Manages advertising. Prepares exhibit materials for shipping to conferences and meetings. Assists with preparing for conference events and mailings as needed. Other
Provides administrative support to the Chief Communications Officer and the Director of Communications. Handles general inquiries from faculty, students, and the public about programs, financial aid, going to nursing school, and related inquiries.
