Position: Communications Specialist Location: Milpitas, CA (Remote) Duration: 9+ Months (contract) Job Description: We are seeking an enthusiastic, Communications Specialist to join our strategic communications team.
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in marketing and communications, strong writing and editing, and key project and program management skillset to keep project on time and within budget.
This role requires excellent interpersonal communication abilities and a proactive approach to managing multiple projects.
Change management skill is a plus.
Key Responsibilities: Content Creation: Create, edit, and drive internal communications, including presentation content, internal newsletters, FAQs, program and risk mitigation changes, and adoption.
Digital Communication: Develop and manage engaging content for digital platforms, including intranet sites, and awareness and education campaigns.
Research and Analysis: Conduct research to support communication plans and measure the effectiveness of communication efforts through analytics and feedback.
Stakeholder Impact Assessment Development: Support identifying audience needs using impact assessment templates, personal interviews, information gathering and/or user experience or journey mapping.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather information, ensure message consistency, and support various communication needs.
Project/Program Management: Coordinate and manage communication projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with company goals.
Qualifications: Experience: 7+ years of experience in communications, cross-functional engagements, and/or a related field.
Writing and Editing: Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Digital Communication: Proficiency in using digital communication tools and platforms, including social media, and email marketing software.
Interpersonal Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Project/Program Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Change Management procedures and process awareness and understanding.
SharePoint, Eloqua, Trello, and/or Microsoft Forms or Qualtrics platform knowledge.
Cybersecurity awareness and education skills.
Design and Video production know a plus.
