Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Communications Specialist to join our team in a temp-to-hire capacity.
This role will play a critical part in our ongoing communications efforts, including a major website launch.
The ideal candidate will have strong web design and graphic experience, alongside excellent writing and editorial skills, to maintain our online presence and create a variety of communications materials.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, upkeep, and ongoing improvement of a newly launched website.Create marketing slicks, flyers, and digital materials to support various communication campaigns.Manage and maintain the organization's social media presence across multiple platforms.Assist in the creation of visually engaging PowerPoint presentations.Write, edit, and proofread a range of materials, including process documentation, articles, scripts, website content, and internal/external communications.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent and professional messaging across all communication channels.Must-Have Qualifications: Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite and desktop publishing software.Ability to migrate files across multiple platforms seamlessly.Working knowledge of web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, and experience with content management systems (such as Drupal, Convio, Kintera).Proficient in graphic design and content creation tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a solid understanding of English grammar and punctuation.Nice-to-Have Qualifications: A degree in English or a related field is preferred.Prior experience working on website launches or significant digital marketing projects.Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role based on performance.
