The YouVersion Community Care Volunteer Leader is primarily responsible for developing and executing strategies for the volunteer team's growth, retention, and experience. This role will provide leadership over recruiting volunteers, overseeing volunteer onboarding and training, volunteer span of care, and creating systems to support the volunteer team. This role supports the team's direction, initiatives, and ministry efforts to achieve outcomes that further Life.Church's mission and reach people for Christ.

\n What You'll Do Recruit and staff volunteers.Collaborate with YouVersion Volunteer Leaders to identify, fill, and maintain volunteer staffing needs including new volunteers, leaders, and coaches.Track volunteer assignments and reassign volunteers as necessary.Own the preparation of volunteer reporting for their team.Oversee volunteer onboarding and training.Partner with the Volunteer Operations Team to create and/or scale volunteer onboarding processes to ensure processes are efficient and effective.Ensure training is compliant to organizational standards, accessible to volunteers, and consistently updated.Address, provide support, and troubleshoot issues that occur for potential volunteers.Proactively support volunteers by providing training, best practices, and reminders.Onboard and train volunteers stepping into leadership roles.Provide spiritual support to the volunteer team.Provide development, feedback, encouragement, and coaching to ensure all volunteers are equipped with the necessary information needed to be successful.Partner with other Volunteer Leaders and Volunteer Operations to appreciate volunteers, ensuring volunteers feel valued for their contributions.Assist volunteers with escalated issues as they arise.Build, implement, and maintain scalable systems involving volunteer workflows, span of care, management, community, tracking, and engagement.Create and maintain monthly retention and growth data for the volunteer team.Effectively implement scalable strategies to drive volunteer growth; regularly share creative ideas for improvement.Keep the volunteer hub and other volunteer resources up to date.Understand the support ticketing system and how to respond to users, engage in outages affecting the user community, and communicate pertinent information to key stakeholders.Have a general understanding of common technical issues within YouVersion systems; educate the team and/or users on solutions as appropriate.Participate in after-hours on-call rotation, monitoring feedback from the YouVersion community and automated alerting systems and alerting appropriate team members and volunteer teams when an urgent issue arises. Skills Needed to SucceedExcellent at process and organizational management to coordinate, structure, and provide vision to projects.Ability to self-motivate, take initiative, make independent decisions, and solve problems.Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to maintain relationships and partnerships.Utilizes strong critical thinking skills to analyze complex problems, identify. underlying issues, and develop effective solutions in a dynamic work environment.Effective at multi-tasking and time management to meet strict deadlines while remaining flexible and open to change.High School Diploma or GED.1-3 years of work-related experience.
