What We are Looking For: We are looking to hire a Community Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of two of our Apartment buildings in Battle Creek . Job Type : Full-time Pay : $56,000-$60,000 Here are some things that will make you successful: Bachelor degree or some college 2 years of Apartment Property Management experience CPM or related certification is preferred Effective communication skills Strong financial analysis skills Strong customer service/people/team-building skills Ability to manage and direct others Ability to execute new ideas Adaptable to change Ability to exude calm and confidence in occasionally stressful and high energy situations Entrepreneurial and business growth-oriented outlook and approach What you will be doing: As a Community Manager, you will oversee property operations, ensuring that the maintenance and leasing teams effectively complete their tasks. In this role, you'll also serve as the primary point of contact for residents, working to create positive experiences and foster a welcoming community Core responsibilities include: Coordinating and overseeing repairs and unit turns Understanding financial goals and cost/benefit operational decisions Coordinating and overseeing apartment and building repairs and tenant improvements Ensuring Tenant needs are met, fostering a positive rapport with Tenants Performing or directing daily, weekly, and monthly physical property and apartment inspections Directing maintenance personnel, helping with follow through on repairs and maintenance Ensuring maintenance and repairs are performed in a timely manner and per schedule Reviewing vendor and contractor invoices Working with the Maintenance department and the Leasing department to ensure that all vacant space is in "market ready" condition at all times Analyzing and reviewing rents Exploring and implementing practices for expense savings and efficiencies Where you will work: This position will require you to be on-site at our properties in Battle Creek.
