With an industry-leading pipeline of projects, strong financial positioning, and talented employees, we aim to continue building on our strong foundation - we have high expectations for the future! : General Objectives: The Community Relations Specialist is responsible for developing and executing community relations strategies, representing Marigold Mining Company at community events and meetings, and maintaining successful relationships within the local communities. The community relations program fosters a multi-pronged approach to support a positive legacy, focusing on open communication within the communities we operate, employee recruitment, procurement, investment, and partnerships. Key Areas of Responsibilities & Duties: The key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Oversee implementation of the community relations and stakeholder engagement programs associated with the Integrated Management System (IMS) Community and Environmental Standards, including stakeholder mapping, coordinating stakeholder outreach and tracking, and maintaining the grievance/community feedback mechanism. Utilize management system software for grievance tracking, data input, stakeholder mapping, engagements, and action/obligations tracking. Act as key point of contact between Marigold and local stakeholders and proactively seek to strengthen and build relationships within local communities. Plan and coordinate all outreach. Oversee implementation and maintain the Community Investment Plan and Stakeholder Engagement Plan to include coordination of site budget and approval processes, as well as execution of the program and chair the Donation Committee Under direction of the Environmental Manager, prepare presentations and attend events to promote awareness of our operations including business events and community events. Develop and conduct trainings related to environmental and community relations, such as new hire, annual refresher training, and community engagements to employees internally. Coordinate site tours of our operations with local community leaders. Work closely with other departments such as Human Resources and Supply Chain to develop recruitment and procurement strategies that support local communities. Participate in Social Baseline and Impact Assessment related to Stakeholder Engagement Plans. Assist with coordination of environmental permitting activities as needed. Support budget management to include accrual collection and purchase order management/tracking. Lead management of Marigold Mining grievance mechanism and respond to community concerns through transparent and respectful dialogue. Organize internal Environment Social Governance (ESG) reporting; ensuring information is accurate and consistent. Complies with all Company standards, policies and procedures pertaining to appropriate conduct for employees, including the Code of Conduct. The Respect in the Workplace Policy, Safety, Health & Environment policies, and any other applicable standard, policies and procedures are implemented and or revised by the Company or by Legislation. Provide support to assist Marigold Mining in meeting all regulatory and company commitments. Required Skills: Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Ability to work independently. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Required Experience: High School diploma or equivalent. BS or BA degree in Communications/Business Administration/Human Resources/Environmental studies or a related discipline preferred. Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the mining industry, with community engagement or other related responsibilities Experience using social media, making presentations, and overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications preferred.
