Community Support Coordinator

Community Support Coordinator (Serving Sandusky, Seneca, West Medina, and Huron Counties) This position is a hybrid position which includes in-office, home-based, and local travel in assigned areas to meet with members and troops in the community. Girl Scouts of North East Ohio is seeking a full-time Community Membership Coordinator to provide a quality, customer-centered and consistent experience resulting in girl and volunteer membership growth. This position develops, retains, and increases girl/adult membership in assigned area; recruits and provides ongoing support to volunteers; assists in developing and implementing plans for membership extension in all markets; represents and extends Girl Scouting in the community through presentations, collaborative efforts, and networking; and ensures the Girl Scout Leadership experience is accessible within assigned area. Major Accountabilities: Support the council's volunteer management system including the recruitment, screening, selection, placement, development, training, recognition, and reassignment of volunteers; work collaboratively with staff teams and volunteers in assigned areas to analyze membership data and set, implement, and reach membership goals. The right individual will hold a Bachelor's degree in related field or experience commensurate with degree and have a record of successfully developing and/or managing volunteers, knowledge of the Girl Scout program preferred and the ability to meet travel requirements including night, weekend and overnight.
