On behalf of our client, a family-owned business of convenience stores throughout the Midwest and continuing to expand, we are seeking a Compensation Analyst , to support the considerable growth and success of this retail operation well-known for their commitment to customer service and being a consistent employer of choice both statewide and on a national level. The chosen professional will work with our Compensation team answering coworker and leader's questions, evaluating positions, as well as analyzing, maintaining, and providing recommendations to enhance our complex compensation structures to ensure our pay programs attract and retain top talent, as well as support our award-winning culture. Job Location: Must live in La Crosse, WI area and work on site a vast majority of the time. Relocation assistance is available. Key priorities: Ensure pay practices are internally equitable and externally competitive within our markets and industries Ensure practices are compliant with all federal and state requirements Analyze data and present your findings in succinct summaries, charts and graphs. Make recommendations regarding development of company salary structure and progress/movement of individual co-workers within their range Performs review and analysis of pay equity within the organization Conducts job pricing evaluations for new and existing jobs (750+) Assist HRIS and leadership with SuccessFactors Compensation module to support efficiency and perform analytics Answering compensation related questions Primary Qualifications: 2+ years of Compensation experience Advanced Excel skills such as VLOOKUPs, formulas, pivot tables, etc. Possess the self-confidence, sense of urgency and poise to effectively interact across all levels of the organization. Experience working with compensation surveys and/or compensation data management tools Experience evaluating and recalibrating pay ranges is a plus Experience working in HRIS systems; SuccessFactors experience is a plus Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or related fields or relevant work experience. Strong Microsoft Office skills Solid understanding of the Fair Labor Standards Act and ability to provide guidance to internal customers regarding pay classification Excellent verbal and written communication skills Outstanding customer service skills and proven ability to protect confidential information High attention to detail, well organized and able to create/maintain effective documentation Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals or groups of co-workers and/or leaders. Must be able to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines Ability to effectively work as a team member and individual contributor Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
