KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Support the compliance manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring regulatory complianceDevelop and maintain operational standards for safety, inventory control, and cannabis complianceServe as the in-house expert on California cannabis regulations, ensuring adherence to state lawsPerform audits and investigations to confirm policies and procedures are being followedImplement corrective actions promptly to address any compliance deficienciesLead inventory audits to ensure accuracy and regulatory complianceWork closely with the operations team to develop and execute efficient solutionsHandle routine tasks under supervision, escalating complex issues to senior managementDemonstrate diligence, punctuality, and a proactive work ethicContribute to company objectives and perform additional tasks as requiredReview packaging and product compliance Note: This job description outlines the core responsibilities but may not include all duties.

TECHNICAL SKILLS & ABILITIES Strong knowledge of inventory management processesExperience with quality management systemsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on training and staff developmentFamiliarity with various cannabis products and regulationsExperience with cannabis software like Metrc, ERP, and other track-and-trace systems preferredAbility to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic work environmentDetail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple prioritiesStrong problem-solving abilities with a professional approachTeam-player mentality and ability to thrive in a start-up environment EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree or equivalent in supply chain management, business, economics, or a related fieldPrior experience working in cannabis compliance, including familiarity with regulations, licensing, and operational standards in the cannabis industry.Compliance-specific certifications are a plusMinimum of 2 years of experience in the cannabis industry
