Position Summary The Compliance Analyst II, Advertising plays an important role in the organization by performing a number of activities related to the company's Compliance functions. This role is primarily responsible or, under moderate supervision, for providing training on and assisting in the review and approval of broadcast, print, social media advertisements, company websites, and marketing programs to ensure compliance with federal, state and government regulatory requirements as well as company policy. This position will be responsible for making recommendations and providing guidance to Loan Officers and Sales force within a specified timeframe. This role will also review employee dual employment forms and shared space requests to ensure compliance with applicable agency and company policies; as well as monitor and report on completion of required company-wide compliance trainings. Essential Functions Assist in providing responses to internal customers regarding approvals within 24 – 48 hours for marketing material requests; if material(s) are non-compliant, initiate alternative solutions that meet compliant guidelines. Assist in reviewing all advertisements within 24 -48 hours in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Review and conduct analysis on marketing programs to identify potential compliance issues, exercise decisions and resolve independently. Provide responsive, courteous and knowledgeable service to Branches and internal departments. Provide training to Compliance Specialist I on job tasks associated with the position as well as more complicated advertisements and/or marketing materials. Provide guidance to Compliance Specialist I on challenging advertisement and marketing reviews. Use computers to conduct research, including proprietary systems, subscriber databases and internet resources to resolve standard issues and verify compliance with regulations. Prepare and verify advertisements, including supporting documentation, are retained in accordance with required retention periods. Apply analysis to determine whether updated and/or new regulations are applicable to the department; if so, determine whether any internal policies and procedures must be updated to incorporate new regulations. Prepare advertising documentation for federal and state examination requests. Escalate issues that represent higher risk/fall outside of scope of responsibility to management. Review dual employment forms, shared space questionnaires and completion of company-wide compliance training as needed. Spot check math in advertisements to ensure accuracy. Identify and stay current on changes in industry regulations that impact work product. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree directly related to the position or equivalent, required. Degree or college courses/technical training related to Business, Finance, Legal or related field. Minimum three years' experience related work experience required. Complete knowledge of various applicable regulations, specifically: TCPA, RESPA, UDAAP, CAN SPAM, SAFE ACT. General knowledge of overall mortgage lending process; prior mortgage, lending or related industry experience Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong detail orientation and highly organized. Sound judgment, ability to think critically. Work independently in a fast-paced environment to complete work following procedures. Manage multiple priorities and deadlines, strong sense of urgency and responsiveness. Prior experience using PDF/Adobe programs and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Basic math skills. Familiarity with different forms of social media and related applications and websites including how they are accessed and used, along with print, radio and television. Prior experience performing general administrative duties including filing, photocopying, data entry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Wiki, collaborative cloud-based programs, and third-party software applications required. Commitment to company values. Requirements Physical: Work is primarily sedentary; occasionally walks and/or stands. Travel: 5-10% Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse. Audio/Visual: Ability to accurately interpret sounds and associated meanings at a volume consistent with interpersonal conversation. Regularly required to accurately perceive, distinguish and interpret information received visually and through audio, e.g., words, numbers and other data broadcasted aloud/viewed on a screen, as well as print and other media. Environmental: Office environment – no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
