Overview: The CRG Compliance Analyst is responsible for remaining well-informed of the regulations that the Retail, Mortgage and Recovery Credit Resolution Department must remain in compliance with. The Compliance Analyst will monitor regulations for changes and regularly review department procedures, letters, and job aids to ensure compliance with bank regulations, policies, and investor requirements. Further, the Compliance Analyst is responsible for managing the complaints process for the department. They will receive complaints and work with various internal and servicing (vendor) personnel, to analyze complaints, identify root causes and provide written responses in accordance with regulation and bank policy and will keep management informed of emerging trends and risks, requiring mitigation.
Will review documentation sent by servicers or vendors to ensure compliance to regulation and policy.
Recommends process or system enhancements that improve internal controls and adherence to regulation.
Provide reports regarding analysis, results, and operational performance to assist management with strategic enhancements.
Facilitates the security and integrity of Bank activities by ensuring compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and standards.
Other duties include supporting regulatory exams, audits, and risk assessments, responding to regulatory intelligence reviews, and ensuring QC test plans include compliance related components and that remediation plans on compliance related issues are mitigating the risks.
Responsibilities: Data Analysis - Sources, validates, and interprets data. Analyzes data for discrepancies and risks, effectively communicates analysis output.Compliance Review - Researches and investigates unusual activity or flagged documentation, processes, and transactions. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Resolves issues, clears exceptions, or escalates as appropriate.Documentation - Compiles all relevant business, process, or user information prior to compliance reviews. Ensures the accuracy, compliance, and completeness of required documentation. Maintains and updates files for the business unit. Produces reports for management on risks, trends, and exceptions.Business Support - Assists with regulatory exams, audits, risk assessments, and other related projects. Identifies and recommends operational or process improvements. May perform system testing or maintenance.Compliance Proficiency - Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, procedures, and policies that affect the assigned business area through ongoing research and industry involvement.
