About the Team: The Compliance department at OKX is responsible for the overall compliance culture at the company. We're a team of risk-minded problem solvers who advise the business on regulatory obligations and Compliance risk. We operate a global/local Compliance model, with subject matter experts within Central Compliance supporting local in-country Compliance Officers to ensure robust, consistent programs that meet local regulatory requirements and internal global standards.
The Global Compliance Monitoring and Testing (GCMT) team is an independent oversight function responsible for planning and executing monitoring and testing activities to ensure the company meets applicable laws, rules, regulations, and internal policies. The team performs periodic reviews and provides updates and reports on the company's overall health to identify potential compliance risks, trends, and performance, to mitigate control gaps and improve efficiency.
What You'll be Doing: This role will oversee the development and enhancement of the Compliance Monitoring and Testing Program, partnering closely with Compliance Leaders, Legal, Product, Engineering, and Risk. You will develop and maintain a comprehensive monitoring and testing plan leading to the early identification and sustainable mitigation of regulatory, reputational, and operational risk.
In this role you will: Own, design/refine, and manage the Compliance Monitoring and Testing Program, including strategy, roadmap, and controls to address regulatory requirements.Lead, train, and mentor a team responsible for conducting comprehensive reviews globally.Communicate our compliance framework and GCMT Program requirements to all relevant stakeholders.Engage cross-functionally to establish global processes, standards, documentation, and test plans.Assist with special projects as needed, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.Lead and provide guidance to Compliance Analysts and a growing team.Define strategy for implementation and enhancement of the GCMT Program and team.Develop Global Compliance reporting structure to provide transparency across global and regional Compliance functions.Prepare Compliance reports for management and other stakeholders.Have a deep understanding of OKX products, services, features, and applicable compliance requirements.Stay informed of regulatory developments, industry trends, and OKX compliance road maps.Work closely with various stakeholders and departments, including local compliance teams and other central compliance functions.Drive and influence stakeholders to achieve buy-in and task completion.Define and implement compliance standards, best practices, and processes.Proactively problem-solve and translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business solutions.Drive a proactive change management approach.Develop frameworks for and project-manage execution of effective change management processes.Perform data analysis and create periodic reporting for various constituents.What We Look For in You: 7+ years of experience in compliance within financial services, FinTech, or cryptocurrency industries.4+ years of management experience.Experience in compliance monitoring and testing roles, preferably overseeing CMT programs globally.Knowledge of crypto, compliance regulations, financial services regulations, and internal policies.Proven leadership and project management skills to drive alignment across stakeholders.Familiarity with AML, money transmission, and consumer protection regulations.Ability to manage initiatives involving process improvements and lead high-risk projects.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.Ability to perform data analysis and work with large datasets.Proven ability to work within deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Ability to build and nurture relationships.Self-motivated, critical thinker, and adept at working independently.Intuitive, highly ethical, and comfortable questioning and challenging respectfully.Ability to self-learn and find answers through research.Proficient in Google suite of products.Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.Nice to Haves: Track record of leading and implementing transformational change initiatives.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Prior experience in a global environment and/or Fintech/crypto exchange.CAMS, PMI, or equivalent certification.Bilingual (Mandarin reading) is a plus.OKX Statement: The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $228,000. The salary offered depends on various factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. A performance bonus and long-term incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package.
