This is an excellent opportunity to join Norway's first unicorn and to get a deeper understanding of what it takes to work for a cutting-edge legal tech team as a Compliance Officer.  About the team  Cognite's Legal team is responsible for providing legal advice to all of the company's business and corporate activities as well as handling the corporate compliance function. We are seeking a Compliance Officer who will report directly to Cognite's General Counsel.  If you enjoy working in a lean and flexible team with various and challenging tasks, this might be the opportunity you are looking for.
\n Focus AreasThe role will entail providing legal assistance related to Cognite's overall activities with the main focus on: Manage the design and monitoring of Business IntegritySafeguard that Cognite complies with its outside regulatory and legal requirements as well as internal policiesPrivacy, GDPRSOC2/ISO 27001 Compliance  Role & ResponsibilitiesWorking with legal tech tools to automate the legal department Provide direction for, review and recommend approval of Business Integrity and Compliance plans, ensuring alignment between the various teams at CogniteDocument and report findings from assessments and incidents to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner with plans for improvement and monitoring of corrective actionsMaintain and communicate the Code of Conduct, the Anti-Corruption Policy, the Third Party Representative Policy, GDPR Policy etc. Company wide compliance and ethics trainingObtain and redistribute KPI's within complianceAnnually review corporate responsibility and ensure compliance with legal requirements and internationally recognized reporting guidelinesNorwegian Transparency Act Due Diligence and reporting Customer, partner and vendor background checks and compliance due diligence ESG compliance, including EU's Corporate Sustainability Reporting DirectiveSupport the India office and the global legal team with ad-hoc legal tasks We believe most of these areas match your experienceMaster's degree in Law Minimum 3 years relevant legal experience (in-house legal department, private law firm or relevant authorities), preferably from the technology field In depth experience with working with compliance  Practical and commercial mindset Excellent communication skills, both oral and writtenAbility to work independently and efficiently, often with tight deadlines, with understanding of the legal in-house role Positive attitudeGood negotiation skills Fluent in English Additional experience that is a benefit, but not requiredExperience with GDPR, SOC2, ISO 27001 and EU data protection and privacy regulations
