Overview: Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York, and a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking a comprehensive ophthalmologist.

The organization includes five corporately affiliated hospitals, as well as skilled nursing facilities, community and school-based health centers, and health partners in related fields.
The Cooperstown area is a vibrant, diverse, and sophisticated upstate community set in a bucolic lake front village affording four seasons of culture and outdoor activity.
Job Description & Responsibilities: Join an established group of 5 ophthalmologists and 3 optometrists. Provide comprehensive eye care as a general ophthalmologist. Current group includes pediatric, retina, and glaucoma specialists. Support staff consists of ophthalmic technicians, LPNs, and RNs. On call is every 5th weekend, from Cooperstown, and rarely busy. Outreach clinics are attended by all ophthalmologists but are limited to only one location each. Referral patterns to tertiary care ophthalmologists are well established. Salary Range: $400,000 - $475,000 plus performance-based compensation. Sign-on Bonus up to $100,000. Group Employed Model. Visa sponsorship available – J-1 and H-1B candidates welcome to apply.
