SUMMARY The primary responsibility of the Connections Pastor is to recruit, develop, and shephard servant leaders while providing the necessary structures for the Connections department. This role models Pinelake's culture by training servant leaders to create welcoming environments that engage and assist all who come to Pinelake Church.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Works in coordination with the overall goals and objectives of the Starkville Campus. Assists the ministerial staff to work toward excellence in all areas of the ministry.Assists other staff members, when needed, to support teamwork and contribute to the successful completion of their objectives and strategies.Basic personal responsibilities:Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible study, prayer, meditation and practicing L3.Maintain proper priorities in your home including your spouse and children (if married and/or with children).Faithfully support the ministries of Pinelake by maintaining wise stewardship measures over the resources entrusted to you.Maintain active participation in community.Reflect a growing awareness and practice of personal Emotional Healthy Spirituality.Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner to glorify Christ and further the mission and ministry purposes of Pinelake Church (Colossians 3:23-24).Value the 7 H's of our staff culture in your heart, home, and life (Humility, Honor, Honesty, Hunger, Holy Spirit, Health and Harmony). SPECIFIC LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Recruit, develop and shepherd servant leaders while providing the necessary systems and structures for: Ushers, Greeters, and Parking (Inside and Outside Connections teams). This recruitment and leadership will give oversight to PL College environments, Sunday morning environments, and student ministry. Shepherd and lead our Connection part-time associates. Utilize Rock to schedule servant leaders for weekly worship gatherings.Develop an intentional leadership development plan to grow in ministry expertise through reading, networking, conferences, etc.Assist ministers as necessary in the successful completion of regular worship events and ministry expressions as requested aligned with work schedule.Prepare and manage a budget and resources for areas of responsibility w guidance of the Director of Ministry.Perform administrative duties and reports as required by management and in alignment with church policy.Adhere to the policies and procedures of Pinelake Church.Shepherd and assist individuals to take next steps during Response times.Help in the recruitment and development of leaders in PL College to help on board onto our summer internship and residency. Perform other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Works with servant leaders.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree preferred. Two or more years of guest services experience (paid or volunteer).
