About the Race As one of the nation's key swing states, Pennsylvania is familiar with the perennial influx of out of state organizers and single-cycle organizing programs. These programs are designed to maximize voter participation, but often fall short of truly empowering Pennsylvanians to take the lead on civic engagement in our state. Young voters, too, are used to hearing that their votes will save us. At Project 26, we have proven that with the right support, young people are ready to do more than deliver key votes–they are ready to lead.

We're building a scrappy and innovative operation to protect and expand democracy by elevating youth leadership across the state in order to empower thousands of college students to take control of their futures, get organized, and vote in the 2024 elections.
What Will You Do? In partnership with the State Director, the Constituency Director will be responsible for ensuring that Project 26 takes a whole-of-org approach to engaging the diversity of the youth vote in PA. We are looking for someone with a vision for more equitable and inclusive campaigns, the creativity to develop structures to support that vision, and the ability to evaluate and improve our programming along the way. This senior-level position will work closely with the State Director to:
Develop a statewide plan for constituency and coalition work that is inclusive of BIPOC, queer, & rural youth voters as well as students at tech, trade, and community colleges. This plan will be embedded directly into the field plan and programming for the year.Work collaboratively across departments to ensure our systems, from hiring to campus outreach, are inclusive and accessible.Collaborate with partners, volunteers, and staff to implement successful campaign events that engage a diverse array of youth voters.Cultivate community and political relationships that expand the reach, inclusion, and cultural competency of our work.In partnership with the Organizing Director, State Director, and Deputy Director, develop resources and training to support equity and inclusion in all facets of our program.Overseeing, recruiting, and managing statewide student constituency leads.All other duties as assigned. Who Are You? A successful candidate for this role will have:
At least three cycles of campaign experience, ideally including at least one cycle of organizing Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, responsiveness, and a passion for the workExperience successfully turning DEI commitments into effective programmingExperience managing teams in a remote setting is preferred, but not requiredCandidates with strong Pennsylvania ties preferred Job Details: Compensation for this role is $7,250 per month and includes health benefits, 401K, and a technology stipend. This is a full time role.
