Location: Port of Bellingham
Responsibilities: Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings, etc.) to plan and design marine construction projects.
Assist in preparing project proposals, bids, budgets, and schedules.
Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
Perform quality control tests and inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
Monitor construction activities to ensure they are carried out according to design plans and specifications.
Manage project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and progress reports.
Address any technical issues or challenges that arise during construction.
Ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols at all times.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related experience.
Proven experience working on marine construction projects or similar project type, preferably in a field engineering role.
Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Willingness to work in challenging outdoor environments and travel to project sites as needed.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera).
Familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting processes for marine projects.
