Primary Responsibilities The primary duties of the Construction Inspector 2 are inspection of highway, roadway, and bridge construction activities, planning, scheduling and coordination of construction inspection, quality assurance inspections of bridge and transportation projects, including foundations, paving, earthwork, coordination with contractor, other inspectors, surveyors and materials testers as well as documentation of the project progress. Responsible for maintaining accurate daily reports of construction site activity, field measurement for progress payment and produces required reports on progress, safety, quality, schedule and budget status. Takes a leadership role in absence of the Resident Engineer. Coordinates with others for documentation for contractor progress pay estimates. Does calculations to support the technical aspects of the work including shoring, falsework and quantities.

The expected compensation range for this position is $61,583 - $101,171 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
