Construction Manager – Electrical General Description The Construction Manager – Electrical is responsible for driving the project's safety, productivity, and quality in the field, minimizing risks, and completing the work in the best interests of QISG, our clients, and our co-workers. The Construction Manager – Electrical reports to and supports the Project Manager with all facets of project planning, execution, controls, and closeout to maintain or improve the balance between scope, budget, time, and quality. Our Construction Manager – Electrical supervises all field operations on assigned projects.  DutiesDirects and coordinates field constructionAdministration of the prime contract and construction subcontracts and purchase ordersMonitors progress of the overall design to maintain or improve the balance between scope, budget, time, and qualityManages and drives subcontracts and purchase orders to maintain or improve the balance between scope, budget, time, and qualityOriginates, reviews, and/or responds to Requests for Information (RFI) and Submittals for constructability; maintains and improves the balance between scope, budget, time, and qualityHelps the Project Manager manage and control the project budget, schedule, and quality through effective change managementManages and enforces the project's QA/QC standards and coordinates QA/QC actions with subcontractors and suppliersManages and enforces the project's Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and coordinates with subcontractors and suppliers to implement their own safety actionsWorks with the Project Manager to prepare and update project schedules and status reports, pay requests, and daily, weekly, and monthly progress, budget, and schedule management reportsHandles project setup and temporary facilitiesField document controlCreates daily reportsTakes progress photographsUnderstands the project schedule's baseline and milestone dates; able to communicate this with stakeholders as neededOwns the project's Short Interval Schedule (aka 3-4 week Look Ahead schedule) and updates it weekly with previous week's production and the CM's work plan over the next two weeks of activities, which may include additional safety, productivity, and quality details relevant to the actual needs of field management and trades.  This is the CM's most effective tool to drive the project schedule forward or identify unplanned risks Objectively assesses the weekly work status of Physical Percent Complete (PPC) for the overall projectAdheres to internal standards, policies, and proceduresPerforms special projects and completes other duties as assigned or requested Required Experience and EducationSix (6) + years' progressive experience in various aspects of the mission critical / data center and heavy industrial construction markets (specifically in the field).This would include, but is not limited to, hands-on construction, supervision, construction management, audit and inspection of industrial electric projects, high voltage converter stations, power generation facilities, and mission critical data centers, including scheduling, cost controls, safety, quality, and riskStrong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, regulations and industry standards.High school diploma, or equivalent, required Preferred Experience and EducationElectrical Journeyman experience in commercial or industrial industries.  Experience supervising a team in the electrical construction industry. Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Science, Construction Management, or equivalentOSHA 30 training certificationExperience with Procore, SharePoint, scheduling software (Primavera P6), and other Project Management software(s)Experience with estimating processesSkillsStrong people relationship management skillsSelf-starter and strong organizational skillsPunctuality and dependabilityStrong problem evaluation / solving skillsStrong team building skillsGood understanding of the project design process for projectsUnderstanding of integrated EPC and Design-Build processesContract managementUnderstanding of construction means and methodsAbility to interact effectively and professionally with the client, design team and construction teamsStrong management and communication (electronic, written, and verbal) skillsComputer skills with knowledge and practical experience using MS Office and cloud-based program database entryTravel RequirementsTravel:  YesPercent of Time: Up to 100% ???????
