WB is growing their office operations team by adding a Construction Manager who shares in our passion for delivering exceptional projects, while playing a major role in shaping the culture and efficiency of the Construction Management team.
As a Construction Manager, you will oversee multiple projects from conception through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and on budget.
WB brings a 'white-glove' approach to relationship management through thoughtful collaboration with clients, architects, engineers, internal staff and trade partners alike, providing a transparent and teamwork oriented approach to construction execution.
This role requires leadership, attention to detail, exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Job Specific Responsibilities Project Planning & Management: Develop and manage project budgets, subcontracts, submittal and RFI logs, change orders, schedules and resource plans to track the day-to-day management of activities on the project.Project Leadership: Coordinate and manage project teams, including site supervisors, subcontractors and third-party consultants, from pre-construction project planning through construction execution.WB Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team to foster collaboration and a solution-focused mindset.Client Relationship Management: Serve as the main point of contact with clients to ensure expectations are exceeded, and develop/maintain relationships to ensure WB remains their builder of choice.Quality Control: Monitor project deliverables and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them proactively.Budget & Cost Control: Track expenses and oversee financial performance to maintain project profitability.Permitting & Compliance: Ensure all necessary permits, approvals and industry standards are met throughout the entire project lifecycle.Innovation: Implement innovative project management strategies to improve efficiency and drive continuous improvement.Progress Reporting: Prepare and present project status reports to senior leadership, stakeholders and clients. What We're Looking For Minimum 5+ years of verifiable experience as a Project Manager, Estimator, Superintendent or similar supervisory role- education and supplemental work experience will be considered.Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred but not required.A self-starter with the ability to hit the ground running and take ownership of projects.Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.Proven ability to manage complex construction projects while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship standards.Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering creative solutions.Ability to express opinions and ideas, both verbally and in writing, in a clear, concise and respectful manner.Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents, such as Statements of Work (SOW) Requests for Proposals (RFP), legal documents and contracts, operations and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel, Word and Project.Shows competence and/or the ability to learn Procore Project Management software, Bluebeam PDF editing software and StarBuilder accounting software.Ability to read and interpret drawings/specifications, create/manage budgets, create/follow construction schedules.
