Position Description:
NTS is seeking a Seasonal or Intern Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician to join our
team! This is a temporary position beginning in May. Primary accountabilities include, but are not
limited to:
Collect samples from various construction and mining sites; Perform detailed record keeping of site and sample information; Conduct compaction tests for soil density, including safe handling of the nuclear device; Conduct field concrete tests, including temperature, air content, slump, and cylinder creation; Create appropriate reports on the computer; Maintain all equipment used in the field; and Follow all NTS safety rules and regulations and maintain a professional demeanor as a steward of the company. Qualifications: Ability to use basic computer software, including Word and Excel, to complete reports Ability to work outdoors in a variety of conditions and lift 50 pounds regularly throughout the day Flexible, full-time availability to accommodate some longer days Valid driver's license with clean driving record Safety focus and attention to detail. High school diploma or equivalent Intern applicants should be enrolled in a relevant degree program such as, but not limited to, Civil Engineering Technician or Civil Engineering
