Our quality control manager ensures that construction projects meet established standards, specifications, and regulations for quality, safety, and performance by implementing and overseeing quality control programs on job sites. \n CompetenciesQuality Control Plan (QCP) Implementation: Develop, implement, and administer the QC Plan in alignment with the three phases of control (Preparatory, Initial, Follow-Up). Ensure all project personnel and subcontractors understand and comply with QC requirements. Review plans, specifications, and submittals to certify compliance with contract requirements. Prepare and distribute documentation for each Definable Feature of Work (DFOW), including inspection and test results.Inspection and Monitoring: Perform regular inspections to evaluate work performed by craft, staff, and subcontractors. Identify non-conformities, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions. Manage and monitor required testing procedures and results. Conduct pre-final and final inspections, develop punch lists, and ensure deficiencies are corrected.Reporting and Documentation: Complete inspection reports, maintain logs, and ensure proper documentation is submitted (e.g., daily reports, as-builts). Maintain daily paperwork, including updates, logs, and email correspondence. Distribute written inspection and test results to appropriate personnel or agencies.Coordination and Communication: Collaborate with the Project Manager and Superintendent to coordinate QC activities. Facilitate and participate in QC meetings to address project progress, testing, and corrective measures. Foster and maintain effective working relationships with all project stakeholders.Compliance and Regulations: Ensure work complies with federal, state, and local laws, policies, and regulations. Review and monitor construction processes to ensure adherence to all relevant codes, standards, and contract requirements. Organizational and Leadership Skills: Efficiently prioritize and manage multiple QC tasks with minimal supervision. Proactively identify and resolve quality issues to maintain project schedules and meet performance standards. Exhibit strong organizational and leadership skills to uphold project quality and drive team success. SpecificationsA degree in construction management, engineering technology or similar is a plus.Proven construction management experience.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and construction management software (e.g., scheduling, QC tracking/inspections, as-builts, markup/document control, etc.) Essential FunctionsPerform physical activities such as twisting, stooping, bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling, climbing ladders and stairs, walking on uneven ground, working on scaffolds above ground, and in ditches below ground. Up to seven hours of an eight-hour shift are spent standing.Work comfortably in confined spaces without fear and demonstrate the ability to read GHS labels on containers through color recognition.Have depth perception to identify hazards such as excavations and to hear horns or sirens from moving equipment.Exhibit good finger manipulation skills for precise tasks.Climb on light and heavy equipment, carry, and use hand tools effectively.Handle constant lifting of 10 lbs, frequent lifting of 25 lbs, and a maximum single-person lifting capacity of 50 lbs (assistance required for items over 50 lbs).
