We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to join our team in Austin, TX, with a focus on interior renovations and ground-up construction for projects ranging from fitness centers and offices to light industrial spaces. Position Overview: The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all phases of the construction process on multiple commercial projects, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and experience in both interior and ground-up construction. Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Manage day-to-day on-site construction activities, including scheduling, inspections, quality control, and project completion. Team Leadership: Lead and manage subcontractors, laborers, and vendors to ensure adherence to project schedules, safety protocols, and quality standards. Coordination: Work closely with Project Managers, Architects, and Engineers to ensure plans and specifications are followed, and resolve any construction issues that arise. Safety Compliance: Ensure all OSHA and company-specific safety policies are enforced, and maintain a safe and clean job site. Scheduling: Develop and manage project timelines and schedules, proactively addressing any potential delays. Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and work with Project Managers to ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality. Client Interaction: Serve as the on-site point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and ensuring client expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle. Quality Control: Oversee the quality of workmanship, ensuring all work meets company standards and client specifications. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction, with a focus on interiors and ground-up projects. Project Types: Proven experience managing projects such as fitness centers, offices, commercial leisure, and light industrial spaces. Technical Skills: Knowledge of construction practices, methods, materials, and industry standards for both interior renovations and ground-up builds. Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate subcontractors and job site personnel. Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and resolve job site issues efficiently. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders. Software: Proficiency in construction management software and scheduling tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.). Certifications: OSHA 30 certification preferred, along with first aid/CPR certification.
