Overview: As a leader in commercial development and construction, we are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee project site and field operations in commercial construction, specifically within the hospitality sector. This position requires excellent communication skills, project management expertise, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The ideal candidate will be a team player who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities: 1. Manage all on-site construction activities to ensure completion within schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
2. Monitor and report on project progress, including daily activity reports, construction schedules, and weekly progress reports.
3. Collaborate with project management team, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
4. Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and other trades to ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
5. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines.
6. Provide regular status updates to senior management.
7. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
8. Lead the weekly onsite subcontractor meeting. Prepare the agenda and meeting minutes with the project manager
Qualifications: 1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction, specifically within the hospitality sector.
2. Strong project management and organizational skills.
3. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Strong leadership and team management skills.
6. Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field is preferred.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
8. OSHA 30 certification
9. Working experience with Procore Software and Microsoft word and excel.
10. Be decisive, flexible & work well under pressure when faced with unexpected situations or delays and in a very fast-paced environment.
11. Can analyze & resolve problems. Excellent organizational, leadership & communication skills
12. Knowledge of Construction Practices and Terminology. Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction documents
