Consultant (Healthcare)
Prometheus Federal Services (PFS), a trusted partner to federal health and social services agencies, is seeking a Healthcare Consultant to support a federal contract. You will work closely with and support federal clients developing and applying analytical methodologies and principals. Experience working as a trusted advisor is preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities The Healthcare Management Consultant will use critical and analytical thinking to provide recommendations to clients that will help achieve goals, drive growth and measure success. Duties may include:
Working with clients to develop and execute health care implementation strategyPerforming gap analyses of differences between current and targeted statesEngage in research and analysis and provide recommendations using methodologies to measure, govern and evaluate performanceConducting surveys, focus groups, and other accepted techniques for data collection in support of organization studies that specifically assess and analyze current organization states and management systemsCollecting, analyzing and communicating field-based implementation dataWorking with clients to review and develop guidance and policies that will facilitate understanding, adoption, and implementation of new processesCollaborating with subject matter experts to develop communications, content and training in support of project implementationAnticipating client/project needs and developing alternative solutionsDeveloping, maintaining and managing client relationshipsTracking implementation process, seeing through action items, identifying solutions to barriers and escalating risks as appropriateDocumenting and delivering findings and recommendationsMinimum Qualifications BA/BS degree in health, science, health policy, communication, management or related field from an accredited universityMinimum of three (3) years of experience in health care, government service, project management or consultingMust be detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and a strong communicatorStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and SharePointProven ability to work independentlyExcellent communication skills and professional writing skillsStrong ability to work on a team and independentlyAuthorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship indefinitelyAbility to obtain a public trustPreferred Qualifications Department of Veterans Affairs experienceProject Management Professional CertificationExperience participating in the development one complex healthcare organizational redesign or new department stand-up effortExperience participating in the planning and facilitating large client meetings with clinically focused leadership teamsAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or national origin.
