Consumer Health Product Supply NA Myerstown Digital Transformation Lead

This role's core focus is to spearhead transformation and digitalization of the site value-chain through a compelling digital vision and program delivery of data & technology strategies that truly improve organizational and operational effectiveness. This includes, but is not limited to, the ownership and prioritization of digital initiatives and activities, the evaluation and realization of direct / indirect business benefits that generate outstanding customer and company value.

Digital Transformation Lead is an inspiring evangelist deeply passionate about technology, enterprise-minded with strong networks in innovative technologies, both in academia and industry.

We envisage Myerstown as a Factory of the Future Division Flagship, and this role will lead the digital transformation elements with intention to accelerate value creation for the site and division at the largest (40% of internal production) Bayer Consumer Health factory.  

This role must provide strong leadership and coaching and development for high performing teams with a culture based on the Bayer DSO principles. The role ensures the development of a 3+ year site digital master plan and provides the leadership and ownership to translate the strategy to business needs, financial business case investments, and planning & execution of the digital programs. 

The role embraces Dynamic Shared Ownership (DSO) principles and practices and follows the VACC approach to leadership (being a visionary, architect, catalyst, and coach).

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Consumer Health Product Supply NA Myerstown Digital Transformation Lead, are to:
Executive Advisor:Leads technology application and process change assessment and presents plan for digital solutions adoption at various levels of leadership.
Acts as spearhead for driving digital topics at the site and enables the organization to utilize new Technologies, Data and Analytics.
Co-creates together with the site leadership, Product Supply Enterprise Strategy function and Consumer Health DTIT strategic direction and plan of actions for upskilling, development and raising digital acumen of the site workforce to enable adoption of the digital solutions and analytics.

Factory of the Future Strategy and Execution: Owns the digital strategy and roadmap (3 to 5 years) for the site to ensure solutions are aligned with the business directions and defined outcomes and will have a significant impact on organizational capability, customer experience, and financial ROI.
Defines and aligns priorities with Bayer Enterprise IT portfolio and the full set of investments needed to support site's vision and digital roadmap in the functional area.
Evaluates existing digital capabilities against strategic priorities and develop the full integration strategies between site Operations Assets Control Systems and Enterprise (ERP) platform following ISA-95 industry standards, Digital Twin and Industry 5.0 technologies.
Leads the delivery of programs and projects at the site leveraging wider enterprise capabilities and resources.
Ensures simplification of the current IT application landscape and adherence to Enterprise IT standards through thorough evaluation of the local needs and variations.
Collaborate with site Capital Engineering and oversees the financials for the site digital investments and operations.
Evaluate the site's Cyber Security maturity level and define the robust strategy to mitigate all risks.

Digital Change:Designs and translates company's digital roadmap into concrete projects and initiatives relevant for the site through a partnership with Bayer Enterprise IT/digital delivery platforms and suppliers.
Identifies and challenges non-digital initiatives to create new or replacement services.
Drives change management across the site's organization, introducing new digital processes and procedures to ensure that the agile development and operation of digital services is successful.
Builds Analytics Capability Building: develop a roadmap and talent development to ensure the Myerstown Site has the requisite Digital and Analytics local skills at the operations, support functions and all people leaders' levels.  

Technology:Develop the digital learning platform to drive the capability building and upskilling of the site employees' digital acumen, data analytics use and data base decisions in E2E operations.  
Understands modern / future markets and key technologies and evaluates processes to include into the site's digitization strategy.
Translates and defines how digital disruption influences business models, products, and exiting systems.
Provides expert business analysis across operations of the site to identify opportunities for digitalization and improved user experience.
Leverages advanced technology to proactively propose solutions to achieve defined business outcomes for the site.

Team Leadership:Act as VACC (Visionary, Architect, Coach and Catalyst) to build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of professionals, promoting a collaborative and innovative work environment. Establish target outcomes, priorities and coordinate talent flow to maximize organizational impact. The incumbent demonstrates, credibly embodies and showcases VACC leadership.
Quality & Compliance:Lead and protect our "License to Operate"; ensure that all Digital Systems and processes are implemented and maintained in cGMP compliance.
Ensure complete compliance with all federal regulatory agencies' requirements (CFR Part 11 as applicable), assure compliance to Bayer policies and directives.
Provide the appropriate subject matter experts during FDA and other internal/external agencies audits.  with particular emphasis on Digital Systems at the site.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with operations, engineering, supply chain, quality, controlling, Manufacturing IT, CoE hubs, procurement, HR, and other departments to ensure seamless collaboration across all functions.
Work closely with Enterprise Engineering, Strategy and CH DTIT teams. 

WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or master's degree in Computer Science, Science, Business Administration or an equivalent qualifications.Customer focus, business acumen and domain expertise in the consumer health industry
Experience of implementing new tech and data including organization change.

Demonstrated VACC skills leading teams and multi-functional team collaboration.
Multifunctional and deep experience of complex engineering and manufacturing management in the consumer and/or pharmaceutical industry 
Experience in successful organizational transformation and change management initiatives.
Excellent project management skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams and complex projects.
Self-motivated and goal-oriented person with strong mindset to take initiative.
Communication, organization and influencing skills, while demonstrating business insight with a strategic and innovative mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 12+ years' experience or Master's degree with a minimum of 10+ years experience is preferred
Experienced in multidisciplinary project management, engineering, manufacturing, data science and corresponding change management in FDA regulated environment is preferred. Ideally, several years of manufacturing facilities work in IT and/or business functions
Ideally, experience working in an agile environment supporting the life cycle of software products (development, testing, launch, training support).
Ideally, experience leading a growth organization with increasing scale and dynamic operations
Ideally, experience of working in data and analytics, implementing data driven organizations.
