This position is for a Continuous Improvement Manager at our facility in Charlotte, NC.
Your Role
Formulate and implement strategies that focus on process improvement, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
Identify areas of opportunity by analyzing data and performance metrics.
Lead and manage CI projects using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
Oversee project teams, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Collect and analyze data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and areas for improvement.
Develop reports and dashboards to track progress and impact of CI initiatives.
Train employees at all levels on CI principles, tools, and techniques.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging employee participation and engagement.
Create and maintain process maps, Standard Operating Procedures, and documentation to ensure consistency and repeatability.
Conduct regular reviews and updates of documentation as processes evolve.
Communicate the goals, progress, and outcomes of CI initiatives to stakeholders.
Monitor the performance of implemented improvements to ensure they achieve the desired results.
Use feedback and performance data to make further adjustments as needed.
Mentor and coach employees on CI techniques and problem-solving skills.
Research and identify industry best practices and benchmark the organization's performance against these standards.
Manage the budget for CI initiatives
Your Profile
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Master's Degree (Optional but advantageous)
Six Sigma Certification
Lean Certification
Project Management Certification (Optional)
Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to analyze complex data sets and identify trends and insights.
Experience in managing projects, including planning, execution, and evaluation.
Strong leadership skills to inspire and guide teams toward common goals.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas and progress.
Proficiency in identifying problems, developing solutions, and implementing improvements.
Familiarity with CI methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) and tools (PDCA, 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram).
Ability to train and facilitate groups in CI principles and practices.
In-depth knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other CI methodologies.
Experience with tools like PDCA, 5S, 5 Whys, and Fishbone Diagrams.
Proficiency in using statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) and data analysis tools to analyze and interpret data.
Skills in managing organizational change and overcoming resistance to new processes.
