Contract Analyst (Contract) You are a detail-oriented and proactive professional with experience in contract administration, compliance, and risk management. This individual has strong communication skills, can work both independently and as part of a team, and is adept at navigating complex legal and financial documents. This position pays: $35-$40/hr Location: Sacramento, California What you will be doing: Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts, subcontracts, and amendments for federal, state, and non-governmental funders, ensuring compliance with university and regulatory policies. Developing and executing sub-agreements and amendments, ensuring appropriate documentation and regulatory checks are in place. Reviewing and drafting consultant agreements and professional services contracts, making independent contractor versus employee determinations as needed. Address contract risks, liability issues, and ensure agreements align with the best interests of the university. Assisting staff and clients with complex contract-related questions, providing analysis of awards and sub-awards, and recommending solutions to potential issues. Contributing to the development and refinement of contract administration policies and procedures in consultation with relevant stakeholders. Coordinating RFPs, managing subcontract activities, and assisting with post-award processes. Providing direction to graduate student assistants and participating in training and workshops for staff, faculty, and sponsors. Assisting with special projects and performing other related duties as assigned. What you bring: Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, pre-law, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts and subcontracts. Strong understanding of contract administration principles, with experience in reading and analyzing complex legal, financial, and administrative documents.
