We are seeking a contract Electrical Design Engineer with new product development experience.
This position is ideal for someone who has a strong technical background and years of experience designing PCAs for the consumer electronics industry. POSTION DESCRIPTION Design circuit schematics and complete or facilitate PCB layoutPerform board bring-up and integration testing in collaboration with mechanical and firmware/softwareWrite test procedures and assist in formal verification of design function.Manage bills of materials and redesign for parts obsolescence or constrained supply chain.Apply design principles to prevent electromagnetic interference and assist with certification to EMC standards.Work closely and communicate regularly with clients to keep stakeholders apprised of project status, issues, design decisions, and risksThis position requires you to work on site at Simplexity's client office in Bellevue for at least 3 days per week and more when significant integration activities are taking placeFull-time anticipated through the end of 2024 and possibly beyond, depending on performance and business needs. QUALIFICATIONSBachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or similar technical degree from an accredited four-year university. 4+ years of relevant, professional engineering experience. Experience with MCU / embedded designKnowledge of low power designExcellent organization and analytical skills combined with attention to detail. Ability to prioritize and plan effectively. Two type of contractor roles will be considered:
