POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Director of Contract Manufacturing, the Contract Manufacturing (Co-Man) Specialist will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day 3rdparty contract manufacturing support activities to ensure that production deadlines are met, and finished goods adhere to the quality standard expected of all Hawaiian Host Group (HHG) products. This position will assist with coordinating raw materials, finished goods, formulas, new item requests, and quality assurance information as needed. This position offers remote work flexibility; however, candidates must reside within California or Arizona. Additionally, willingness to travel within the United States is required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Facilitate cross-functional communication, driving on-time completion of tasks, assessing risks, developing action plans, and engaging leadership as needed. Create and own Bill of Materials (BOMs) for all co-manufactured products. Support inventory management of components, raw materials, and finished goods for all tolling & turn-key contract manufacturing partners. Manage, track, and reconcile invoices for all co-manufactured products, ensuring timely payments to tolling and turn-key contract manufacturing partners, while closely collaborating with our Accounting Team. Responsible for performing administrative duties, including but not limited to reconciling purchase orders and ensuring completion of checklists. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, working directly with Quality Assurance, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement and Finance stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes. Partner with suppliers and internal HHG departments to ensure co-manufacturing partners adhere to HHG's Quality and Food Safety Standards and all local, state, and federal food safety and regulatory requirements. May be required to support production onsite, providing pre- and post-production debriefs to internal cross-functional partners. Must be able to work independently and exercise good judgement in problem solving and resolution of supplier issues. Required to travel via airplane, automobile, or other modes of transportation to execute job duties. Ethically represent the company and be compliant with HHG Corporate Code of Conduct. Other duties as assigned. Regular attendance is required for the position. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Business or related field or equivalent work experience. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in an administrative role handling orders, doing data entry, or related experience; ideally within product management, food commercialization, and/or consumer-packaged goods (CPG) manufacturing, is preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of the entire product development lifecycle, including product commercialization, manufacturing processes, and strategies for bringing products to market. Proficiency in weights and measures, conversion factors, freight, and logistics. Demonstrated ability in effective time management, organizational skills, attention-to-detail skills, and prioritization to optimize work efficiency. Ability to work effectively cross-functionally, build relationships and embrace change. Strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to effectively convey information and ideas. Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and work independently (self-directed/self-motivated). Possess a strong sense of job ownership coupled with a solid team orientation. Adept at complex problem solving and highly resourceful. Must maintain a high standard of personal and professional integrity and a strong work ethic. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently sit; use hands to finger; handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear and occasionally required to walk; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; taste and smell; and lift, and/or move up to 30 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. COMMUNICATION DEMANDS: The position requires talking to employees, supervisors and managers and outside trade persons/vendors; written communication to employees, supervisors, managers, and outside persons/vendors; responding to written or verbal requests; reading; composing written language; receiving verbal and written instructions.
