This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.
What You'll Actually Do: Prepare financial forecasts, monitor actual costs, manage baseline controls and research variances Review project labor actuals, material receipts and perform time-phased labor and material forecasting Work closely with program management to create and analyze monthly Estimate to Complete (ETC)/Estimate at Complete (EAC) for assigned project(s) Evaluate all aspects of project cost performance to identify necessary forecast modifications, assess risks and opportunities associated with the current EAC/LRE, and provide recommendations to program management regarding potential forecast adjustment strategies Interface effectively with the program management team and other functional organizations Must be able to work successfully on a multi-discipline team, and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines Strong written and oral communication skills To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor's Degree Business, Finance, Engineering or a related field is required 6+ years of experience 2+ years working in aerospace, defense, construction, oil and gas or government contracting required(element of cost experience needed) Experience with principles and applications of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and change control Knowledge of or experience with schedule development and management practices and principles including schedule logic and dependencies, critical path analysis, analysis of task loaded labor, and schedule status analysis and reporting Able to review and understand contractual and proposal documents as applicable to proposal or project cost and schedule requirements Advanced Excel skills using pivot tables, vlookups, and formulas Excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented, and willingness to roll up your sleeves Where and How Much: Target Compensation to $65/hour Centennial- in-office-some flexibility 45-month contract with potential for permanent start ASAP
