Addison Group's client is currently searching for a Contracting Specialist to support the support the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO). This position requires someone holds an active TS/SCI clearance coupled with 5+ years of experience. This role is primarily remote with occasional on-site requirements in Lorton, VA. Job Overview We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Contracts Specialist to support the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO). This role involves managing and assisting with the drafting, review, negotiation, and execution of contracts for rapid acquisition and development projects. This is a hybrid/remote position based in Lorton, Virginia, offering flexibility to work from home. Ideal candidates will bring experience in government contracting, especially within Department of Defense (DoD) environments, and a strong working knowledge of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement). Key Responsibilities Prepare, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including firm-fixed-price, cost-reimbursement, and time-and-materials agreements, in alignment with Air Force and DoD acquisition standards. Collaborate with program managers, legal counsel, and technical experts to develop contract terms and conditions that are legally compliant and support the rapid acquisition of cutting-edge technologies. Ensure all contracts adhere to DoD policies, FAR, DFARS, and other federal procurement regulations. Conduct risk assessments and contract analyses to identify potential issues and propose mitigation strategies. Oversee the contract lifecycle, including execution, amendments, and renewals, to meet the evolving needs of the RCO and Air Force initiatives. Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and government agencies to resolve contract disputes, ensure compliance, and meet performance expectations. Provide training and guidance on contract processes, compliance, and best practices in federal contracting. Ensure timely delivery of contracts and related documents to support rapid acquisition timelines for mission-critical projects. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in government contract management, with a focus on DoD or Air Force acquisition programs. Deep understanding of FAR, DFARS, and federal contracting regulations.
