We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, and proactive Contracts Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for contract administration and will assist in being a liaison for legal matters of the company.
JOB SUMMARY: The Contracts Administrator plays a crucial role in supporting the legal aspects of sales operations and contract management within the organization. This position will work closely with the sales team, Executives, outside counsel, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with contract laws and regulations, work to mitigate legal risks, and facilitate smooth business transactions.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Manage the contract review and approval process to ensure internal requirements have been met prior to contract signing.Prepare, review, and revise sales contracts, purchase agreements, service contracts, and other legal documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legal requirements.Assist in negotiating contract terms and conditions with customers, suppliers, vendors, and other parties involved in sales transactions, striving to achieve favorable outcomes while protecting the organizations interests.Prepare various legal documents based on standard templates.Maintain a centralized repository of contracts, track key contract milestones, deadlines, and obligations, and ensure timely renewals, amendments, and terminations as necessary.Conduct legal research on sales-related matters, including contract law, commercial transactions, consumer protection laws, and industry regulations, to provide guidance and support to the legal team and business stakeholders.Monitor regulatory developments and changes in laws affecting sales operations and contracts, assess their impact on the organization, and recommend compliance measures and process improvements as needed.Identify legal risks and potential liabilities associated with sales activities and contracts, collaborate with legal counsel and business leaders to develop risk mitigation strategies and implement appropriate safeguards.Assist in resolving disputes and legal issues arising from sales transactions, including contract disputes, breach of contract claims, and customer complaints, through negotiation, mediation, or other dispute resolution methods. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, correspondence, and documentation related to sales contracts, legal matters, and communications with internal and external parties.Provide training and guidance to sales teams and other employees on contract-related legal issues, best practices for contract management, and compliance requirements to enhance awareness and adherence to legal standards. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Law, Paralegal studies or other related field (BA).2+ years of experience working in contract law. Preferably in the Construction or Telecom industry.Strong understanding of contract law, sales transactions, and commercial agreements.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Attention to detail and ability to review and analyze complex legal documents.Proficiency in legal research.Experience working with contract management software.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in the use of a computer, and software applications including Microsoft Office. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Highly organized and attentive to detail, with the ability to work on multiple tasks/projects simultaneously (multi-task).Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work with personnel at all levels, both within and outside the company. Easily takes initiative and works independently.Maturity, professionalism, and good work ethic. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience within a construction or telecommunications environment.Paralegal certification or equivalent experience preferred.Experience with SalesForce.
