Contracts Negotiator - Level 2

Job DescriptionWe are Lockheed MartinThe successful candidate will be a contracts negotiator for both unclassified and classified, highly dynamic programs in Fort Worth, TX, Palmdale, CA, or Marietta, GA.
Full-time, on-site support is required.
The role is responsible to manage, both independently and with a team, all day-to-day contract negotiation and administration across multiple programs.
Candidate will work closely with functional organizations (finance, pricing, program management, engineering, subcontracts, etc.
), and must be a self-starter, willing to learn, demonstrate strategic thinking, and be able to effectively coordinate with multiple internal and external customers.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, researching complex issues and providing recommendations for resolution; developing risk assessments and mitigation plans; assisting the manager and program team on various special assignments that requires a significant amount of skill, knowledge, and business acumen; and providing contractual expertise and leadership.Typical activities can include:- Proposal evaluation, risk mitigation, preparation, coordination, and management.- Contract negotiation, coordination, management, and closeout.- Working in conjunction with associated functional organizations and customers to ensure conformance with contractual obligations.- Developing and applying advanced concepts, techniques, and standards to assigned activities.- Active Secret clearance is preferredA level 2 employee Typically has 2 - 5 years of professional experience.What's In It For You: 3 day weekends every weekend!

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.National Pay StatementPay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $61,300 - $117,500.
For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location.
