Job SummaryControl Systems TechnicianThe candidate will be expected to install, troubleshoot, and maintain direct digital control systems in high-end customer electrical and mechanical infrastructure, program direct digital control systems, provide basic mechanical and electrical system troubleshooting, install / replace system components as necessary and provide installation (termination and commissioning) services of newly installed systems.Responsibilities:Programs and commissions programmable logic controllers as required per project scope.Provides installation, startup, and commissioning services for new and retrofit projects.Provides troubleshooting services for existing customer control, mechanical and electrical components.Completes assigned projects on time, within budget, and per contractual requirements.Interfaces with customer contacts on issues, strategies, and support.Qualifications and SkillsExcellent communication skills-both written and verbal.Ability to communicate on both a customer and management level.High degree of motivation, self-direction, commitment, and integrity.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strong team orientationValid Driver's licenseRequirements:Trade certification in the HVAC and/or Electrical Service field and/or equivalent job experience in the controls and automation industry.5+ years of experience installing, troubleshooting, and programming automation systems and integrating with third party equipment.Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Autocad, and Visio.Solid knowledge and practical experience with Computer Networks and advanced knowledge and practical experience of Automation and Control Networks.Knowledge of the controls concepts and strategies for commercial infrastructure, building HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems.Strong understanding of commercial building Mechanical & Electrical operations.Understanding and practical experience with the Electrical and Electronics concepts associated with Direct Digital Control Systems (DDC).Experience programming any of the following product lines is preferred: Tridium Niagara (Ax, and N4), Reliable Controls BACnet, Trane Summit/Tracer, Siemens, Automated Logic, Johnson Controls FX.
