Position Title: Controller Industry: Law Firm Location: Baltimore, Maryland Status: Hybrid, Direct Hire Jones Networking is recruiting for a Controller to join a law firm in Baltimore, Maryland. The Controller is responsible for supporting the law firm's financial reporting, budgeting and financial analyses of the firm. Controller Position Summary: - Prepare monthly account reconciliations - Manage firm's trust and escrow account - Ensure monthly close process is completed within monthly close cycle - Maintain books and records - Implement and maintain required internal financial and operational controls - Prepare and maintain distribution worksheets, draw schedules and review compensation - Provide leadership, mentoring and training within the department - Supervise accounting department staff - Handle the firm's banking and financial institution relationships Controller Qualifications Summary: - Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting - CPA - At least eight years of accounting operations management experience - Aderant experience preferred - Law Firm experience - Strong analytical, problem solving and time management skills - Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
