Our client is looking for a Controller that is responsible for all of the general accounting functions including partnership accounting, treasury and cash responsibilities, and financial reporting.




Responsibilities:


Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual closing cycles and financial statements including production of periodic reports


Maintenance of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance accuracy of the company's reported financial results and ensure that reported results comply with GAAP.


Manage all cash as well as a forecasting model to plan for revenue and disbursement events


Review coding and approval of AP/AR and manage timely payment of debt service.


Financial analysis including collecting, summarizing and analyzing information and trends


Understanding the financial structure of company/partner relationships


Annual audit and related reporting (lender compliance packages)


Compliance oversight with local, state and federal regulations


Developing, teaching and training the team


Other duties as required




Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business with at least 5 years of relevant experience


CPA highly preferred


Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Treasury Management including finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles


Knowledge of automated financial, accounting and reporting systems.


Knowledge of Federal and State regulations


Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously


Proficient with Excel


Exposure to real estate development projects and partnership accounting highly preferred
