• Financial Management & Reporting Oversee all financial functions, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to the President and Executive team.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data, including general ledger, balance sheets, and income statements.
Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Cash Flow & Budgeting Manage cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity to support ongoing operations and capital expenditures.
Monitor, forecast, and report on cash flow performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with department heads to prepare and manage the company's annual budget and rolling forecasts.
Implement cost-saving measures and provide recommendations to optimize financial performance.
• Data Analysis & Strategic Planning Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities to inform decision-making.
Provide financial analysis and insights for capital investments, pricing strategies, and business growth initiatives.
Support strategic planning efforts by developing financial models and long-term projections.
Lead efforts to automate and streamline financial processes, leveraging technology for improved accuracy and efficiency.
• Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including tax filings and audits.
Lead the preparation for financial audits and liaise with external auditors.
Identify and manage financial risks, including insurance, credit, and operational risks.
• Leadership & Team Management Collaborate with other department heads to align financial goals with company objectives.
Serve as a trusted advisor to the president, providing financial insights to support executive decision-making.
• Technology & Systems Management Oversee the company's financial systems, ensuring data accuracy, security, and reliability.
Collaborate with the IT department to implement and maintain financial software solutions that enhance reporting and data analysis capabilities.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a manufacturing shop environment.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copier/scanner, and filing cabinets.
Controller will need to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
No travel is expected.
Qualifications Knowledge/Skills:
• Strong understanding of financial management, cash flow analysis, and data reporting in a manufacturing context.
• Proficient in financial modeling.
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
International Trade in Arms Regulations (ITAR):
• Must be either; US Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the US, or protected individual as defined by 8U.S.C.
1324b(a)(3).
