An Industrial Engineering company specializing in custom conveyor systems design, commissioning, and integration is looking for a Controls Engineer to join their team in Aurora, CO. As a Controls Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design and programming of control systems for various clients within logistics, manufacturing, and air travel industries.
The company is following the exciting and growing need for CCTV integration into their systems and projects may take a R&D approach to CCTV software integration.
Responsibilities include programming PLCs and HMIs from concept to completion, including VFD's and graphical touchscreens.
This will start with in house testing and then move into on site implementation work.
You will work with Axis Vision CCTV, AutoCAD design, Rockwell Software, Allen-Bradley hardware, and network design at fluctuating percentages depending on the projects at the time.
Travel is project dependent and starts with no travel, then bumps up to 10-15 days a month in Jan - June, then drops again after that.
Travel is only to sites within the continental US for integration and is no more than 10-15 days at an absolute maximum.

The position is a 6 Month Contract to Hire (will go permanent after 6 months with room for advancement).

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's Degree heavily preferred
5+ years hands-on field experience troubleshooting and commissioning industrial controls equipment
1+ year experience with CCTV integration
5+ years' experience programming PLC and HMI from concept to completion
1+ years AutoCAD experience to make changes on industrial control panel designs
Willing to travel average 30%
