About the job Controls Field Technician
A leading provider of HVAC and security controls and systems is seeking a skilled DDC Controls Field Tech to join their team.
The successful candidate will work out of either the Renton or Silverdale offices, focusing on the installation, programming, maintenance, and emergency or warranty service of customers installed systems.
This role requires a strong technical background in DDC/BAS control systems, HVAC, and building automation.
Responsibilities Install, program, maintain, and service HVAC and security control systems.
Program systems to meet specified operational sequences and standards.
Calibrate and confirm that all specifications and contractual promises are met.
Assist in the preparation and delivery of graphical user interfaces as required.
Update records and drawings of as-built systems in collaboration with engineers.
Train and instruct customers on system operations and energy conversions.
Advise the sales team of potential opportunities and solicit service contracts during training, commissioning, or service duties.
Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in DDC/BAS control system service OR 1 year of experience and 1+ year of technical school.
Extensive knowledge of HVAC, building automation, engineering, and commissioning.
Familiarity with systems such as Distech, KMC, Tridium/Honeywell, Schneider, or similar.
Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights, sometimes in inclement weather.
Knowledge of pneumatic controls is a plus.
