SUMMARY:
Support and implement embedded controls, application features and software engineering related activities for ICE, Hybrid and BEV projects. The successful candidate will be capable and self-motivated to deliver and support high-quality solutions, including requirements definition to concept design, though development verification and testing to final validation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support and plan control system development activitiesAbility to define requirements documentation and logically develop system architecture designSupport sub-system, system, MIL, SIL, HIL, dyno, and vehicle level integration activitiesPrepare, technical reports, papers and presentationsWork closely with customers, suppliers and internal teamsAbility to adapt, integrate and work well with others is essentialExcellent verbal and written communication skills are requiredSelf-motivated with the drive to deliver high quality work within target timingAbility to work well under pressure and to strict time constraints, as part of a team or individuallyGenerate and review project proposals and participate in business development activities when requiredMaintain a specialist working knowledge of new technologies as appropriate to the roleObserve all safety rules and regulations. Must act safely and be responsible for the safety of others around the work area Maintain awareness of and meet the requirements of the Company Quality System.Flexibility with working hours including weekends and willingness to travel to customer sites for both long and short durations (including secondments)Employee duties are not limited to those stated above, but are inclusive of any tasks assigned by supervisor/managerQUALIFICATIONS:
Must be attending a 4-year accredited University Preferred candidates will have experience and/or interest in;Developing embedded C code projects (Arduino or RPi)Model based simulation using Matlab and SimulinkAutomotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN)Engine and vehicle testing in a lab or dyno environmentCreation and troubleshooting of basic electrical circuits and wire harnessesDocumenting designs, test procedures and resultsKnowledge of internal combustion engine and hybrid applications is advantageous Do you have any questions?
