Strong ability to utilize Factory TalkView Studio, RSLogix500, Studio 500 Professional, and Panel View 32 Ability to read/understand blueprints and schematics Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area circumference, and volume Excellent problem-solving skills Ability to comply with all general safety policies and procedures in accordance with Company, Local, State, and Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations Ability to obtain a valid forklift license Must be able to lift ninety (90) Responsibilities: Responsible for performing design and maintenance of control networks, ladder logic programming, and plant software Maintains calibration of measuring instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical equipment Performs calibration and maintains electronic measuring, instrumentation recording, and indicating instruments electrical mechanical equipment Maintains detailed mapping of Ethernet networks including IP addresses, wiring switches, and cable patching Manages revision control PLC Logic including PLC5, SLC500, and Compact/Contrologix.
Utilizes Factory Talk View Studio, RSLogix500, Studio 500 Professional, and Panel View 32 to maintain and optimize controls systems throughout the plant Ensures system integration of Information Technology (IT) systems with Operations Technology (OT) systems function on daily basis Optimizes plant processes by editing and/or writing ladder logic programming for a variety of systems Performs standard to more complex repairs and is responsible to receive adjust and install new plant equipment ensuring the proper electrical performance; operate a variety of power hand and shop tools as required Responsible for the diagnosis of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and similar problems and apply appropriate corrective action Reads and interprets schematic drawings and diagrams required to perform maintenance on or install plant equipment Performs advanced electrician duties including, but not limited to, using a voltage meter to check high and low voltage reading on equipment, checking for open circuits for line voltage, troubleshooting frequency, drives for proper operation understanding all aspects of an electrical schematic and troubleshooting/replacing I/O modules in a PLC Participates in and successfully completes training directed at increasing job-related trade skills as mandated by management/supervisor Performs all duties in accordance with USDA, company policy, and established procedures and maintains clean work area Performs PM's inspections and verifications on all control components Performs frequency drives, writes drive logic in PLC code, creates HMI applications, uploads and downloads PLC Programs and HMI applications, programs ladder logic to troubleshoot equipment, integrates new processes into equipment, sets up network communications, and sets up advanced routing of Ethernet protocols The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required; including but not limited to bump cap, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs, hair and beard nets, gloves and safety shoes or rubber boots The employing subsidiaries of Schwan's Company are Equal Employment Opportunity Employers.

Education: High School Diploma/GED and Rockwell Program or related experience
Years of Related Experience: 3+ years or relevant experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must have high degree of mechanical and electrical aptitude Exhibit effective communication and professional interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of co-workers, management, and executive staff workers Ability to train team members at all levels Proficient working with, programming, and troubleshooting PLC systems (Allen-Bradley and Siemens preferred).
Proficient with electrical wiring of equipment and system control panels.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and machine manuals.
Familiarity and working knowledge of NFPA70E and Arc Flash requirements.
Experience with industrial robotics, robotics programming, and maintenance (FANUC and ABB preferred).
Proficient with electrical components sensors and safety devices (i.e., photo-eyes, proximity sensors, limit switches).
Proficient with industrial machine Ethernet networking.
Detailed understanding of SCADA (Ignition), PLC Ladder Logic (Rockwell), Human Machine Interface (HMI), AutoCAD, WMS (SAP), WCS (Savanna.net), managing AGVs and their integration with plant systems.
Ability to comply with all general safety policies and procedures in accordance with Company, Local, State and Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
Experience with USDA regulations, GMPS, RAGAGEP, etc.
Strong ability to multitask and problem solve.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Must be able to lift forty (40) lbs.
Ability to prioritize workload and complete tasks in a timely manner Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and machine manuals Proficiency in the use & troubleshooting with a multimeter and similar diagnostic tools Ability to troubleshoot automated equipment and perform root cause analysis Ability to use basic MS office programs, fill out PM's and shift notes Ability to review, troubleshoot, and isolate issues within PLC and HMI programs Ability to research parts tools and equipment need to complete task Ability to clearly communicate with team members to assist with troubleshooting Creating, modifying and closing work orders utilizing CMMS systems (SAP)
