Cook

Overview:
As a Cook at St. Vincent, you will support the healing process by preparing meals and menu items for our patients, their visitors, and their caregivers.
To be successful as a cook, you should be able to use various cooking techniques and methods to prepare meals that meet our customers expectations.
Ultimately, a top-notch cook should be able to handle multiple food orders without compromising on quality. You also understand that cooking for patients requires extra diligence with sanitation protocols.

Responsibilities:
Prepares menu items according to standard recipesMaintains equipment in kitchen to standardMaintains kitchen area to state required sanitary standardsCompletes all tasks on duty while adhering to safety standards and policies of the hospital

Qualifications:
Two years Food Service experience required.
Cooking experience is strongly preferred.
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.Current (within the past 12 months) ServSafe Allergen and Food Handler Certifications.
If not currently certified, certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
