The Coordinator of Student Organizations, within the Leadership and Service Center (LSC), is responsible for assisting with envisioning, planning, implementing, and evaluating programs and services that provide opportunities for students to engage in meaningful experiences beyond the classroom, with an emphasis on leadership education and student organization initiatives. This includes supporting the development of translational skills that broadly help student leaders prepare for a successful shift to the world of work within their chosen career after graduation. Job Duty: Student Organization Initiatives:Coordinates and implements initiatives for student organizations that provide meaningful, beyond the classroom experiences, for all student populations. Program and event planning should include budgeting, assessment, marketing, and risk management, as well as other relevant matters as appropriate. This position will assist will maintaining accurate and complete student organization records through student organization renewal, reactivation, and new student organization registration with promotion and education for Garnet Gate utilization. Assist with the planning, implementation, recruitment, and assessment of student organization signature programs including Student Organization Fairs, BEAK Retreat, and Gamecocks LEAD Student Organization Conference. Essential Function: Yes Percentage of Time: 30 Job Duty: Leadership and Service Center Initiatives:Assist in facilitating initiatives for the Leadership and Service Center as needed, including leadership development programs like Close Family Emerging Leaders Program, Camp Cocky, LeaderShape, and additional center initiatives such as Gamecock Civic Leaders and Alternative Breaks. Essential Function: Yes Percentage of Time: 25 Job Duty: Coaching & Presentations:Provides coaching sessions, presentations, and leadership development for students and student organizations to promote involvement, leader and group development, and community engagement. Assist with training, development, and collaboration for the peer leader coaching program within the Leadership and Service Center.
