Description Location: UCHealth UCHlth Leprino Building AMC, US:CO:AuroraDepartment: Transplant Hepatology AdminFTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)Shift: Nights Pay: $38.91 - $60.31 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experienceSummary:Coordinates deceased donor organ offers. Triages after-hours patient calls. Facilitates acceptance or refusal of donor organs. Coordinates organ recovery.Responsibilities:Coordinates organ availability for transplant recipients. Collects data for organ acceptance or refusal. Communicates with transplant surgeons and physicians, histocompatibility lab, and staff.Reviews candidate medical record prior to organ allocation; assesses for concerns, abnormal diagnostic findings or significant changes. Collaborates with transplant surgeons regarding recipient selection for each available organ.Triages transplant recipient and living donor after-hours calls. Works with other facilities to coordinate care. Coordinates patient admissions to hospital and surgery notifications.Provides program support for wait list removals, and donor culture reporting and follow-up.Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.Requirements:Minimum Required Education: BSN.Required Licensure/Certification: State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).Minimum Experience: 3 years of nursing experience.We improve lives.
